“For me as an artist painting is the tool for expressing my relation to life not really in an intellectual way but much rather as a sensual manifestation through this medium. My series titled ‘SUN WATER AIR’ is a love story with life created by vibrant colors, bold surfaces and a pop-artistic approach, a series of works that I’ve been working on since the beginning of my career in 2013. ‘ORIENT’ and ‘FLOATING-SILK’ are more personal bodies of work inspired by my own inner procession and the subtle development of the soul connected to spirituality in a conscious way. Working for weeks or months on these large-scale canvases results monumental figurative pieces falling apart into abstraction when one takes a close look. Building up a beautiful totality of rhythmical, repetitive patterns and a melody of colorful canons gives me a wonderful meditative experience through the act of creation. My recent series titled ‘VULVA' focuses on aspects of femininity and womanhood, which are deeply rooted and inspired by my personal experiences."

Hungarian painter Boglárka Nagy is widely recognized as one of the outstanding contemporary representatives of Hungarian figurative realism painting. Besides regular solo and group exhibitions, her works are sought after not only at Hungarian, but also at international auctions - one such auction was Sotheby's London 2016 '20th Century Art - A Different Perspective' auction, where her work 'Summer Love' sold alongside other widely known Hungarian artists. She repeated her success at the same auction in 2019 with another work titled 'My Name Is White'. She was the first Hungarian painter to be selected for LUMAS's international art portfolio in 2017, where a selection of her works are still available worldwide. Her paintings are expressive, vibrant and composed with rich colours, her portrayal of people is bold and extraordinary.

Her main series called 'SUN WATER AIR' are dominated by light, endless open spaces, freedom and zest for life painted with a brilliant technique. The figures in her paintings evoke harmony, energy and emotion. There is a visual sense of light that shines through the aura of the paintings. This series brings together most of the artist's best-known signature works to date.

Pieces of the ‘ORIENTAL’-series are inspired by her travels in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. These works speak of freedom, of the inner universe of the human soul and of a detachment from Western consumer culture captured in a non-judgemental, observational way. A new, deeper portrayal of characters goes beyond Boglárka Nagy's otherwise easy-going, sometimes frivolous and provocative tone. Both colours and subjects are more sensitive and lyrical.

The artist's main aim is to capture universal, true beauty and to touch the human soul. Her work is about seeking for the fullness of life, following the call to share inspiration with others through her art. She feels it is her mission to inspire people to lead a creative life. Her work is also about the journey of the soul. For her, painting is a way of experiencing an active, yet often meditative state of flow through which she can give form to her inner universe and capture life in her own unique and striking visual language. Light is not only an expression of rich visual contrasts but also a tool to suggest spiritual values within her paintings. For her, painting is an inspired, spiritual and creative process with immense power. It is not only a calling, but also a way of mission to bring beauty, inspiration and change into the world.
