A series of 8 portraits at Kimpton BEM Budapest
Opened in summer 2024 Kimpton Bem Budapest hotel hosts 8 recently commissioned portrait paintings of Hungarian artist Boglárka Nagy. In the paintings the artist explores different roles and qualities through the representation of natural and animal symbols composed with female gazes. The works are installed permanently in the restaurant loggia of the hotel designed by Dutch star designer Marcel Wanders, where they can be viewed at any time.

From January 2024, Boglárka Nagy's work titled ‘FLOW' hangs on the walls of the recently opened MELEA – THE HEALTH CONCEPT hotel’s restaurant in Sárvár. The painting was commissioned by the hotel and inspired by a holistic and close-to-nature approach to life. One of the artist's recurring symbolic motifs, the undulating flow of colourful koi carps evokes the experience of being in flow and an inspired state, as the starting point for actions and existence. On the painting a group of fish swim towards the pond in the garden and the artwork blends harmoniously into the Japanese-style zen atmosphere of the restaurant with its 3 metre large scale, clean composition and subtle colouring.
FOUR SEASONS BUDAPEST GRESHAM PALACE x BOGLARKA NAGY
Artist Boglárka Nagy is now representing Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace in Budapest as Spa Ambassador. Operating as a Four Seasons hotel since 2004, Gresham Palace was one of Budapest's richest heritage sites and artistic hubs in the beginning of 20th century. It gave home to the Gresham Circle, a group of renowned artists, who, distancing themselves from politics and continuing the painting style and tradition of the Nagybánya School, chose as their main aesthetic principle to capture subjects from life through the filter of memory.
